The Department of Laboratories at Al Khalidi Medical Center is one of the finest laboratory departments in the nation and the region. The department prides itself on providing the highest quality of diagnostic services for clinical physicians and their patients, offering the most sophisticated methods for evaluating the full range of the many and varied tests and procedures carried out in the department.

KMC comprehensive laboratory services are dedicated to detection and monitoring of diseases and abnormalities. Based at one of the most advanced and respected medical centers in the region, the department is staffed by highly skilled clinical scientists and technicians. We work around the clock, seven days a week, testing, evaluating and reporting results that help provide answers for your better health.

Quality: Our Lab is ISO (ISO 9001:2000) and HCAC certified. The highest standard of results is ensured by various internal and external quality controls and by cooperation and sample exchange with recognized international reference laboratories. Our Laboratory is equipped with the latest computerized instrumentation for quick and accurate inpatient and outpatient testing.

The KMC Laboratory is the largest referral laboratory in Jordan with two cars available for sample collection from many laboratories and hospitals in Jordan. In addition, our Laboratory is considered the biggest referral lab in the area. Samples are received from many Arab countries such as Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Syria, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and the West Bank of Jordan.

The Laboratory is involved in clinical chemistry, medical microbiology, hematology, immunology, virology and body fluids. Our Laboratory also features High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (for drugs, amino acids and vitamins assay) and Gas Chromatography / Mass Spectrometry (for organic acids in urine) in addition to Pathology- specific testing. Other departments such as Molecular Genetics (using PCR and FISH technique), Cytogenetics (chromosomal analysis PGD), Neonatal Screening for inborn error of metabolism, Atomic Absorption and Polarigraphy for trace and heavy metals (all metals including Mercury and Selenium) are available when you arrive.

When our clients arrive at the KMC Laboratories for a test, we provide them with convenient and confidential outpatient laboratory services in an attractive environment and private setting. Our well-trained staff spares no effort to make our clients as comfortable as possible.

For added convenience, lab results may be electronically delivered to our clients by e-mail or may be accessed online via the KMC website (www.kmc.jo), whereby specific login details to access the results online will be provided at the Laboratory check-out desk during the client’s respective visit. Furthermore, special arrangements for conducting blood tests in the convenience and comfort of our clients’ own home may be coordinated upon request.

Outpatient testing is available 24 hours / day, 7 days a week.

For strategic outreach, a branch for Al Khalidi Medical Center Laboratories has been opened in Al-Zarqa – Jordan providing broad spectrum laboratory services inline with KMC standards whilst ensuring comprehensive and 24 hour interconnectivity with our central laboratory in Amman.
