When you are scheduled to be admitted to Al Khalidi Medical Center (KMC) through your physician's office, their receptionist will assist you on where to go. The following procedures are usually taken :

•  At the admission center, the admission officer will ask you for personal demographic information, such as: name, birth date, address, insurance information and personal identification (ID for Jordanians and Passport for Non-Jordanians).
•  The admission officer will generate a Hospital Admission Form for you to sign. Please, read this form carefully before signing. The form gives KMC permission to treat you or operate you as necessarily, as well, as permission to bill your insurance company.
•  On registration: If you are an insured patient you will be transferred to insurance department, who will sum and discuss in details your insurance status, because several issues will need previous approval for admission to the hospital. Our insurance representative will help you in this process.
• After this stage, you will be transformed to patient's accounting to pay a deposit and signature of the admission form by an accounting employee. If you are insured you will sign a form to pay for any extra expenses not covered by the insurance company.
•  The patient is then escorted to his/her room and by a hospital nurse his/her own physician is informed of the admission .

  Unscheduled Hospital Admissions

 When you are admitted on an emergency basis usually either through the emergency department or directly from a clinic appointment, the admitting representative will talk to a person that is escorting the patient. At that time, the admitting representative will ask you for the same demographic information listed above. Unscheduled hospital patients will also be asked to sign the forms described below.

Arriving For Your Hospital Stay

 Arrange to have someone bring you to the hospital when you arrive for your stay. Your driver may park for free in the patient parking. If you are arriving to the airport, a representative will meet you and transport you to the hospital for admission.

 Checking In For Surgery

 The check-in time for surgery  begins  at 6:00 a.m. Please ask your physician for your check-in time,unless in emergency cases whereby admission is 24-hours.

  In-Patient Surgery

 KMC Hospital Admission Desk, Ground Floor ,  Main Lobby , is opened  24-hours 7days/week.

Out-Patient Surgery

 Eye Center  Surgery Check-In starts at 6:00 a.m.
