The Kidney Dialysis Department was opened in 1997. It is specialized in diagnosing, treating, and educating patients on hemodialysis and also preparing patient for kidney transplant, which is done at Al Khalidi Medical Center.

We have eleven hemodialysis machines.
There are three Isolated machines: one - for patients with hepatitis B virus and two - for patients with hepatitis C virus. We have very good infection control in our department : no transmissions of hepatitis virus or any type of infection between patients were reported.
| We do chronic and acute hemodialysis for both children and adults, we have the facilities to do hemodialysis in the ICU for severely ill patients. Department is devoted to the care of 40 patients most of them are Jordanians , some of them are from other countries. |

How to get to the department :
The department is located in floor (–1) at Al Khalidi Medical Center, your relative or driver can drive you to the door in front of the department .

Hemodialysis appointments :
- We expect that you reserve for your dialysis a week before if you are coming from another country.
- A dialysis schedule will be set up for your first treatment, we will try to meet your needs if possible.
- Your dialysis session will be between 3-4 hours, two to three times a week.
Things to remember:
- Please try to arrive 30 min. before your scheduled time.
- Bring all your medications with you on your first visit.
- Don’t bring any food since we serve you a meal free of charge during your stay.
- Wear casual comfortable washable clothes.
